You can tell they were educated in Texas schools. They could have gotten a pretty accurate weight on the fish themselves by hanging the fish from both scales at once.

That monster would capsize my 14 foot BassBoat.

Heck I would properly need to use a "sheep" as Bait. 100lb line, a Harpoon. and Great Lake Trolley. To land that monster.

What I am trying to figure out is how they landed it in only twenty minutes, his reel must have been made by Warren.

Back in the early 1970's after the charter had canceled out because of the bad weather (early June, rain, very windy and 45 degrees) the charter crew decided to take the boat out onto Lake Superior anyway. Well they hooked into what became the worlds record Brown Trout which weighed over 54 pounds and it took them over 40 minutes to land that monster.
