hey Adam, I think my SN is just "Magnum357" just like it is here.  You can't miss me on GSA.  I'm still deciding if I want too install the mod.  My system is only a P3 600mhz, can it run all these high quality models effectively for online play?

Depends on your graphics card, really. Ive run Dominion Wars and TNZ with a similar processor and a Radeon 7200, even on the D3. I now use a G-Force FX 5200 with the same processor, and it works great there as well. BTW, rumors of 56K lag are, to my experience, greatly exaggerated. If what I hear is true, and Nanner has removed shuttles, the lag should be quite low most of the time.

Give it a try! We'd love to see you!

If not, Nanner has promised he'll buy you an ice cream cone of your favorite flavor.

Nice job...tried it out, and I like it.  I especially like the models of the Enterprise and the DD with the nacelles and such.  I also like how you have incorporated the ability to play the Hydrans, the Mirak and the ISC as well as the Dominion.

My only complaint is that the Romulans seem too weak for my tastes (afterall I play Rom...you should have magic plasma or something for them).  Overall, great job!

Hey Nannerslug, I just played a couple of games with your mod.  I must say, this mod kicks some serious @SS!!!!  It almost feels like I'm playing a whole different game.  I liked the fact that the ships require redistributing power from weapons too sheilds now.  In unmodded SFC3, you just design all your ships with lots of power so that they are overloaded all the time.  And I like the fact that the ships in this game fly around a little less like fighter jets and a little more like they do in SFB/SFC.  Also, love the nice touches you have made by adding SFB style ships too the mode.  Kinda cool too see ISC, Lyrans, and Gorn siding with the Dominion.

Also, the music you put into the game really gives the whole game a different feel.  I sure hope more people use this mode on GSA because this could be fun playing other people.

i agree about the music. the music is from starfleet academy, starfleet command 1 and klingon academy. the one thing i wished sfc had done in the past 2 was to hire ron jones as the composer. in my view - he has been the ONLY composer in trek games who has reflected the true trek sound.. though ion zer did an okay jon on klingon academy.. few others have even bothered to put in the alxander courage theme.. and what is trek without. oh wait, thats enterprise. (they need to bring back the alxander courage theme)

I've found the Roms to be quite deadly.  Remember that in SFC3 as your officers become more skilled your weapons get better and will hit more.  If you move from base to base at the start you can usually eventually find a decent tactical officer.  The new models like the Valdore, Warbird, and Killer Hawk look really cool.

Excellent job on the music. I think the music sets the mood and you have a very nice selection.
It is way better than the stock game.

Could also be that I stink with the new models.  I got torn apart in my first outing with a snipe...and with a war eagle I didn't do much better it seemed.  Probably due to my play style however.

One of the mistakes I made when first playing was loading up the ships with everything I could cram in without looking to see if there is enough power and maneuverability left.  A ship armed to the teeth is worthless if it can not power it's weapons or turn at a reasonable rate.

Exactly!  This is why I think I'm going too love this mod for SFC3 is because it forces you too allocate power too systems a lot more then in an unmodded SFC3.  Also, its going too be extremely hard too get fast ships out of this game.  No more speed 100 klingons with no sheilds and they turn on a dime where their AV number is through the roof!!!  For SFC3, this is suppose too be what Starship combat is suppose too be in my opinion.

I'm kissing unmodded SFC3 good bye!

Each point of AV reduces the hit percentage by 1%. However, the maximum effect is -35%. An AV of 35 is mechanically the same as an AV of 100.
