Yay, the Cylons nuked Vancouver!

Well, for those of you in the US this is old news but here in Canada the new Battlestar Galactica was just aired this weekend. I liked it, and it has received fairly positive reviews up here so far. As I was watching some of the scenes on Caprica and Caprica 1 I noticed some very familiar locations. They used Simon Fraser University as a double for part of Carpica city, I recognized Horshoe Bay and Caprica 1 is a BC ferry. Just think I might have been on Caprica 1!

My only question is what did the writer have against poor boomer?

Boomer was a main character that was a black man in the original series.

I know that, but the screenwriter must have really hated that character from the original series. They changed his race, gave him a sex change and may have made them evil. Plus they killed off Jolly with the Sitting Ducks Squadron, who was often Boomer's wingman if I recall. Guess the writer didn't like Colonel Ty either since they changed him from a strong, assertive secondary character into an old balding alcoholic who gets beat up by women.

Yellow, you fool!

Why bring attention to the beauty that is Vancouver?
Take it from a resident of the now overcrowded Golden State of California.... don't!

Practice with me: "Vancouver isn't really that nice! You don't want to move here!"
