Topic: does it cost more to live in a college town that a none college town (Read 1272 times)

Reason Im asking is the grain haulers are starteing to hire again, and one of the places that is hireing, the town is somewhat conciderd a college town, yes Im willing to move to where the work is, but im just wondering about cost of living in towns like that.

In general the cost of housing will tend to be higher within a few miles of the school(s) and more reasonable as you get farther away. Check with the realtors in the area to get a beter idea of the prices.

Hard call, Austin used to be one of the cheapest places to live in the nation, and U.T. is right in the center of town, and we are the capitol as well. Then the computer age hit and we got screwed like Silicon Valley, rents tripled in only a few years!

College Station is cheap from what I hear, you may want ask Sethan as he has some experience there, and knows the real estate pretty well of the area.
