PS, any thoughts on an SFB Fighter list?

Yeah. I'm gonna leave that one up to someone else... someone with some fire-retardant clothing, perhaps?

I just don't think there's enough Nomex on the planet to protect THAT person.

Your devotion to this project is truely awesome, and I really appreciate the effort!

My game is your game. Your game is mine. If I want to have more fun, I have to improve the game... and while I'm at it, I'm sharing the results with you all. That's all there is to it.

Besides, I want to see this thing as complete as possible. I know for a fact that the DIP wants to get its hands on it because of some additions which may help their own shiplist. I might as well go nuts and make it fully fleshed out.

You missed your calling, you should have helped to develop this game.  Your dedication to the improvment of SFC is admiable to echo the statement made by Rhaz.  in any event I eagerly look forward to your upgrade.  Sounds like it will be quite  substantial.  just wish you had more spaces in your hull classes, though I know that is a programming issue hardcoded I believe into the game.   For I know it would make it even bigger.  Anyway thanks again for adding to the experience for myself, for us all.

In reality, I was just obssessed enough to figure out how things worked within the game to actually give it a try. Heck, I never used Visual C Studio before this game, and now I have a few scripts out there that's mine.

As for the "upgrade".. you may not notice differences right away. But a lot of refinement work has been done. (you'll see when it's out)

3.2?  I can't keep up...

Hopefully one of the new OP campaigns (or all of them) will use your shiplist as *the* standard.  I loved 3.1... I assume 3.2 is even better... does it include those new Tholian and Andro ships?

Jim

Typically Badlands always uses the OP+ shiplist. Plus the next iteration of Badlands will be very interesting.

I have done work on this (based on work originaly done by Mog) but as yet it's not quite ready for primetime.

Ho-ly crap!

.. the newer NSIS installer builder supports a new compression method (LZMA) which chopped off about 20% of my current installer's size.

Normal zip compression: 67mb.
bzip2: 60mb
lzma: 43.4mb

Good news for modem users.

PS. Yes, that means I have a release candidate ready.
Edit: PPS. You realize that's 360mb coming out of that 43mb thing?
