I'm sure the Eagles would have won had McNabb been healthy (even with all the other injuries).

But I'm not optomistic about next year, considering the Eagles free agent policy.  I wouldn't be suprised if they let go Duce Staley, Troy Vincent, and Bobby Taylor.  I really think they should keep all those players, and, instead, try and get some wide recievers who don't suck.

Perhaps it would be best to not insult the dead in the Philly media next time.

One very happy Packer fan.

Go Panthers!

The Eagles beat the Packers in overtime and nobody watched it???

Oh well, I think it was a great game to watch, and I'll be looking forward to playing the Carolina Panthers next week.

I might have been inclined to root for the Eagles if it weren't for crap like this.

The best thing was the pre game skit where they had Mcnabb beat the crap out of Rush.  That was so cool.

Yeah that was funny, glad to see the fine publications in Philly have decided to take the "high road".

Perhaps they can find some terminally ill people to make fun of next.

Well I will admit mistakes were made by green bay... but it would have been nice to at least "measured" or "reviewed the 4th and 26th play instead of allowing a flag, on the defense.  The spot was about 2 -3 yards off...  oh well.  It will be nice to see Carolina make the superbowl.

I don't usually read the Daily News, so I guess I missed that.  On the other hand, the Media isn't the team.  I haven't listened to Sports Radio this morning, but last night I didn't hear anyone talking badly about Favre.

I have tremendous respect for him as a player, and a definate hall of famer.   I feel sorry about him loosing his dad, but I was sick of hearing about the Packers being a team of destiny and Favre winning a Super Bowl for his dad.  He did already win a Super Bowl when his dad was alive.  I wish him the best, but I usually don't root for a team to win a second Super Bowl before a team wins their first.

About the game itself.  I definately wasn't feeling confident when the Eagles were down 14 nothing and Akers missed a Field goal (which he almost never does).  I think the spot was off by a few yards, but when I saw the play, I thought it was a first down if the refs spotted it correctly (they didn't spot it correctly, but they moved it to a spot that had no question of being a first down, so I didn't complain too much).  Then again, I don't think the previous play should have been blown dead, and it wouldn't have been a 4th and 26 play.

I was praying that GreenBay would punt the ball, instead of going for it on 4th and 1, and I got my wish (I don't think the Eagles would have stopped him, no matter how good they've been this season at stopping 4th and 1 plays).

Anyway, I look forward to playing Carolina next week.  No matter how good they are, I am definately not as worried as I was facing the Packers.

Go Chargers!!!!  Get that First Round Draft pick for being THE WORST team in football....

Ohh..uhhh...off topic....

Yeah I saw a little bit of the game on layovers on my way back from New York....

Looked like a defensive game to me...the Packer RB ripped off this big run that brough the pack down to the goal line and STILL couldn't score...

some bad coaching if you ask me...get those points!

what was the final score? ok i'll look it up....

20-17 in overtime

Although I would like to have seen a game like the Colts-Chiefs game, that definately wouldn't fit the Eagles style, so they'd probably loose (Eagles give up big yards, but prevent the other team from scoring).  Sometimes the Eagles give up big plays, though (like against Tampa Bay, and the 2 touchdowns by the Packers), and that's usually when they do the worst.

I would have expected more respect for Favre, but I'm glad to see the Eagles make it for once, for too long they have been wannabes, now is their time to shine, if only for a moment.
