OK, when I load the game, it loads full screen but isnt the active window. Mouse works fine clicking etc, but in order to use the keyboard for hotkeys, I have to press alt-tab to windows and then again to get back into Orion Pirates.

When I load Orion Pirates, no other applications are running.

It's not stopping me from playing the game, but the windows 'clunk' asterix noise annoys me.

I'm using XP Professional Edition.

did you follow the instructions in the readme.txt file?
