Remembering a national tragedy

WHAT?S UP: The Library of Congress wants your memories for the September 11 Digital Archive Project. They?ve launched a new interactive Web site, ?Contribute Your Story,? at www.loc.gov/exhibits/911. Visitors to the Web site answer questions about where they were when they heard the news of the attacks, their strongest memory of the day and how they perceive the events have affected this country and them personally.


WHAT?S NEXT: The project is organized by the American Social History Project at the City University of New York and the Center for History and New Media at George Mason University. It?s the largest digital collection of materials related to Sept. 11, 2001, and is the Smithsonian Institution?s designated repository for digital objects related to the attacks. Library officials say these recollections of ordinary Americans will help them acquire, preserve and sustain a comprehensive record for present and future generations

I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out exactly what to post.

I did in fact loose a real good friend with the attack at the Pentagon, But about 1 year prior to that, we had had a large arguement, and hadn't talked since. I still talked to his dad, But "Tate" and I where pretty sore at each other. I guess It was an EGO problem on both of our sides, and Of course I attended his service, but To be honest, That's not the kind of story that would Be appropriate at the memorial.

Of course It showed me over time, To try and be more patient with others in the Future.

I lost an old high school buddy when the second tower collapsed. So I know how hard this is.
Right now I used this as an excuse for the guys in the shop to reflect on where they were to.  Hopefully they can get to the point when they can put what is on thier minds to the site also.
