Hehe, First off,

I have the nicest Nieghbor to the East of me, who always has a smile, and We have set and just Bs'ed outside quite abit. at one point he had noticed I was having some trouble putting up some Blinds, and came over to help. as It turns out he does appholstry work, and restored Furniture.

Anyway, he had a large couch that needed help moving so he asked If I could Help him, and Of course I said yes. Long story short, I go into his house for the first time and we start moving It, But he suddenly stops when an clock alarm goes off. He then proceeds to get his little Carpet out and Kneels to Pray.  afterwords, ( I remained quite for along time) , He proceeds to tell me He is musleum, and That he hopes I don't mind.

LOL, Why would I mind I asked him? It doesn't matter to me who or how you worship.

He tells me about the People who used to live here Where so against any and All Musleum or other religions, that he is always afraid that someone might thing the wrong thing about him.

That made me feel sorry for the guy, and Disgusted with the Formor Renters of the house I'm in now.

Secondly, I took my sister to the Store w/ me ( she needs the exercise) and on our way back, We pass a gentlemen changing the letters on his Church sign. I ask him Real friendly like, What denomination the Church was, and he claims Non-denominational. So anyways after some further pleasantries, we continue the walk home.

That's when My sister ask's, "what's Non-Denominational".

I start explaining that It doesn't follow a prescribed pattern of beliefe, etc...

When She exclaims to me "that's my kind of Church! All those others have way to much Religion!!!"

I Couldn't wait to get back home to burt out laughing in the sanctity of my Room.

Very intersting (and funny) stuff.

When my wife told her parents she was dating a muslim (me) her parents were very nice but secretly a little put off.

Truth be told I was not a Muslim but rather a student of Islam at the time - but I don't think most Westerners would distinguish the difference.

(The main difference being no Muslim should feel compelled to kill me because I never accepted Islam - instead I became a born again Christian)

I am very glad I studied Islam, as well as Bhudism, Zen, and of course Judaism / Christianity.

Although I have chosen my path, I will never again be intolerant of other religions, not even Unitarians.

It is an interesting trend that more and more non-denominational church are appearing accross the U.S.

I have never excepted the denominations anyways, and have found myself most confortable usually at Charasmatic Baptist churches.

They tend to challenge my tendency to become complacent - and that's what I need in my life.

Anyways, I hope all these new Non Denominational trends will create a larger community and not end up being so much new age dissapointment.

Your neighbor sounds like a good guy.
