LSU defeats OU for share of national championship.

What a surprise.  You figured this would happen after USC won the Rose Bowl.  OU did not deserve to be ranked #1.

Hehe, This morning I'm wearing My OU BloodDrive T-shirt, which Ironicly Has a blood stain on It from when one of my dogs hurt themselves. And All I can say, To you Ratboy, is "Thems Fighting Words"...

Why cant they just have a 64 Team Set like the NCAA Basketball?  Im not too sure that the NCAA Football and the NCAA Basketball is actually both being run by the NCAA.

Assuming you allow the normal one week between games this will take 6 weeks.

I have no problem with the BCS per se.  It functions exactly the way it was designed.  The fact that it doesn't line up with "human polling" is evidence that it is set up to do so.  It is pure numbers, no "fudge factor".  So it can only do what is designed to do... numerically assign a "value" to a team statistical data that they have acheived.

Kind of like:  Would the 1972 Dolphins be undefeated if they played this year?  Probably not... but by sheer numbers they are the best team.  However I certain 3-4 of the playoff teams this year would make them look like a college team.

Bad analogy, but it gets the idea across..

My idea is leave the BCS bowls as is - and have a 2 week bonanza of 1 v 4, and 2 v 3 from a UNITED AP/Coaches poll for the championship
