plastic model ....making the dream
« on: January 01, 2004, 03:54:42 pm »
we have been working on a plastic model of the X-CLC; Advanced Light Cruiser for several months now   ( in between moving, several major projects here at home  ( honey-do-list stuff) and a major change in responsibilities at work.)  In order to complete the project we are looking for 4 warp drive nacells off of the Galaxie Class Enterprise.  They can be painted, used, etc...  If anyone could help just post here or drop a PM....  ( I would prefer to not go on E-bay to buy 4 entire kits )

thanks ....

you may want to visit "In payne" or freeman yards. They kitbash pysical models and may have a spare nacelle.

Sounds most intruiging.  I used to build models myself as well.  Unfortunatly due to time (and especially space) I have been unable to  enjoy that hobby of mine in the last few years.  Though I wish they had been a little more accurate.  The aformentioned  kitbash would be very interesting amongst others I have heard of and would like to try.  Are there any specific site links?

There is a ST model forum around some where ...  I'll have to dig through some notes  to find the addy..  If we get this project we will post some picts here and on that forum as well.   If can find another Mirnada class we are already designing an upgrade that is closer to TNG+ designs.
