Was lucky enough to get a good deal on MAX5, been playing and learning. Here's my latest wip.

Hmm,

id say increase the number of polys on the saucer and stretch the width of the engineering hull.

Thanx guys!

I plan on reworking the saucer tonight...hopefully the tut that I was offered on chamfering will be ready. Same with the deflector dish...although that's not a chamfering problem, but stretch/scaling. I'll post more tonight.

Fixed the deflector...still need to re-work the saucer. Been doing some of the textures and applied some. Here's a few shots.

Looking good Sandman. Like the base textures alot. Only thing the lettering looks a tad blurry. Like the C kinda looking like a G and the N is difficult to make out. Maybe its too bold or try larger bmp for the saucer .

Dang now I starting too sound critical - just trying to help cause I see you wil be making some of the finest models soon.

OK here's a few shots of some of the re-work. Chamfered the saucer, widened the shuttle bay area. Added more detail to the saucer top texture, added the base texture to the bottom and did the impulse glow.
