Copy/Paste the link into your address bar.

Anyway. Typical federation design. Looks like a retrofitted and updated Akira to me, although I dont' know about that extra pair of nacelles. Is the vessel supposed to seperate??

The Alexandria was to be a Super Battleship, designed to fight the Dominion Battlecruisers.  With the end of the war the Dominion and Federation became allies and Dominion technology was added into the Alexandria class to defend against the Scimitar class.  The Nova texture on the Akira saucer is pretty much just a textured design, its not made to Seperate.  The extra Nacelles are based on the Nova class design.

In all honesty I was hoping those were pods,if they are extra narcelles I have to say   I don't like idea of 2 completely different sets of narcelles on that ship.Perhaps it's the design but geez it looks ridiculous. If you want a 4 narcells version of the Akira send me a PM with an email and I'll send you one.My personal $.02.

If it wouldn't be too much to ask sir..  where did you get the info on the creation and the development of the "Alexandria".  I would like to read more about this ship, and possibly others that may have came about as a result of influnce of this same erra.  ( just trying to learn more ...  and stay up to speed with things ! )

Thanks

Thanks Azel, That?s the ship I was talking about.  Its very Nice.  The info that I put up there is actually mine, I typed it.  The ship images that I poster (or tried to post) were done by me as well.  It?s a concept I made one day out of no where before the War ended.  I decided to change it a little and say the project was dumped until the Scimitar came to be, so Starfleet reactivated the project.  I'll create a full report and post it.

Also, Azel I made those Ventral and Dorsal views by some schematic kitbashing, but do you think you could draw out a full set of schematics for me?  Ya know, Aft, fore, and all that.  I've been having problems with those.  Plus you could add more details to it and such.  If you can?t or don?t want to, I understand, I just thought I would ask.

Wow!  Thats Awesome!  And pretty fast too.  Actually though I was hoping for the same as mine, with slightly less modification, not to sound picky, I love your ship but I just kinda wanted a detailed version of mine.  But your design there could easilly be another ship of its type in the fleet.

The Alexandria class starship was designed and constructed to combat the new Dominion Super-Battleship encountered by the USS Valiant.  The Ship was so massive she wasn?t completed until the end of the War.  By that point she was obsolete and threat from the Dominion was over.  She was so heavily armed though that the engineers at ASDB and SCE wished to use her as a test bed for all future computer and tactical systems.  When the USS Voyager returned home with future technology, the Alexandria was the first ship to have the technology tested on.  The Ablative armor was brilliant as a fleet of Galaxy, Defiant and Sovereign class warships pounded on the Alexandria.  Not a single attack could penetrate the armor.  Transphasic torpedoes were tested on Asteroids, Planets, and Moons.  The torpedoes were capable of destroying every asteroid it encountered, destroyed small moons or blasted them apart, and tore chunks of a planet?s continents away.  Starfleet wished to continue development of this new Super-Battleship, but there was no need for one, that it until the Reman Warbird was developed.  The USS Enterprise NCC 1701- E was the first starship to encounter the Reman Warbird, the Scimitar.  It is known that the Reman?s have found a way of perfecting the Romulan cloaking device, to where a vessel is 100% undetectable.  In fear that with this new technology the Reman?s could pass ever ship in the Federation without their knowledge, Starfleet reinstated the Alexandria Project.  This time, engineers could do as they please, even ignore the Prime Directive!  The Alexandria was fitted with the most advanced technology, including Subspace Weapons, Quantum Torpedoes, Transphasic Torpedoes, Super Ablative Armor, Polaron Beams, Disrupters, and an experimental Quantum Slip Stream Drive.

Armor that can Bio-Regenerate is a very sophisticated thing, that only the Borg are known to have (at least I think they are the only ones).  It could be placed on the hull and the Ablative Armor could go over that while it heals after combat.  Perhaps after the Federation can develope the Technology.

I'm still debating what size the Alexandria should be.  I was thinking about 900 or so meters, but since she is a Super-Battleship, should she be bigger?
