Wanted to know if anyone had seen this and, even more, if anyone has a resolution.  I originally had SFC2:OP installed with the 2550 patch, the EZ-Ini program, Co-OpACE 3.2, and the Shiplist Chooser 4.2 (loads and switches shiplists for original, OP+3.1, and SW).  When I ran the patch to get up to 2552, suddenly I was unable when in spacedock to select Fighters anymore (the button is greyed out).  This is true for ANY ship and ANY race.  My system specs are below:

WinXP Home (SP1)
DirectX 9.0b
P4 2.8gHz HT processor, 800mHz FSB
Asus P4P800 Deluxe MB (Intel 865 PE chipset)
1 GB PC3200 RAM (Matched pair of 512mb sticks)
nVidia GeForce4 Ti4200 128mb AGP 8x (running v53.03 Forceware drivers)
Dual 80GB Maxtor HD (configured in RAID 0 array)
SoundMAX AC1985 integrated sound
1 GB 3com2000 Integrated ethernet

The REALLY weird thing on this is, even after a complete uninstall (including wiping all references in registry and deleting install folder), I can only get the Fighter button to work again in spacedock if I install SFC2:OP to a completely new directory path and don't patch it at all.  As soon as I run any type of patch or utility for it, Fighter button stays greyed out in spacedock.  I even went so far as to reinstall XP (had it delete old install instead of wipe whole HD) and I STILL have the problem.  Obviously I'm missing something here in the uninstall process but not sure where to look at this point.  I'm at the point right now where I plan on doing a complete HD wipe and starting fresh but would prefer not to do it.  If ANYONE has any info or insight on this I'd appreciate the input.

I think I've heard of this, What you need to do is Go to the OP folder, I usually right click on the shortcut on the desktop----> Properties----->find target.

Ok, What you need to do is switch to the other EXE that launches the game. Create a shortcut for that one, and Try using that link instead.

Give that a shot, and let us know If you have fighters then.

Well, the default .EXE is SFCOP.exe (which launches the wonderful intro) and then there's StarFleetOP.exe which goes straight into the game.  If this is the change you recommend, been there done that to remove intro sequence.  Does not fix.

Does the shortcut of OP have the "Target Directory" or "Start In" value set? If not the game will not find the fighterlist files

You may have something here!  Not at the machine right now but I DO seem to remember that that line on the shortcut property was blank.  I'll let ya know if it worked!

There'll be more information in the readme.txt (which came with the patch).

Strafer, YOU ARE A GOD!  Needless to say, the simple answer has worked again.  Can't say how many times I looked at that and never noticed it.  THANK YOU!
