« on: April 15, 2004, 05:09:47 pm »
first i was wondering about the asia class, what weapon did the ship have, what weapon i should use for it, and about the constitution class, the uss constitution is 1700, but there ship with number like 1017, 1373, 1631, ect, if there ship where made after the 1700 why do the have smaller number, also i was wondering what weapon the uss republic (old constitution class) have and what date was it lunch.?

From the SFMuseum Asia weapons loadout:

Weapons: 4 phaser arrays, 4 missile tubes with a total of 32 fusion and matter/antimatter missiles

the phasers are located at the corners of the saucer it would seem, 2 turrets per array going by Bernd Schneider's schematic (though I prefer the more streamlined Masao Okazaki version myself) BTW the M/AM missiles are photons.

As for the Constitution, anyone's guess, officially we only ever saw 1 torp launcher and 2 phaser turrets, both on the underside of the saucer, I think Masao from the aformentioned SFMuseum did a good job with the weapons for the Connie:

Weapons: 12 phaser turrets in twin mounts, 2 torpedo tubes with 52 photon torpedoes

As for the numbers - laziness on the part of the '60's model/setmakers, they should have numbers higher than 1700, I tend to ignore those numbers and substitute higher ones myself.

P.S. - bordering on fanboyism here but: http://www.starfleet-museum.org/pyotr-velikiy.htm: a list of regs for the Connies where all those ships have >1700 numbers.

Actually, the Greg Jein numbers assigned from the wall chart in "Court Martial" should be disregarded, on the simple fact that it would be completley unreal to have almost the entire Constitution fleet at Starbase 11, unless Starfleet's Deployment Staff is run by monkeys. The only "canon" Connie numbers are the Constittution's (1700), the Enterprise's (1701), and the Defiant's (1764, though this particular number is only from a status sheet that was made during production, and hasn't been avalible in recent years.) Literally all other numbers for the Constitutions are conjecture, though it is possible that the Lexington was there too (being NCC-1709, and fitting into the standard registry scheme established by the Conny.)

I think that the Republic, along with possibly "other" Constutitons are actually members of an older Starship class, as I sincerely doubt that Starfleet has that few Starship designs avalible. Additionally, it's pre-Conny registry would invalidate it, and would be best assigned to something similar to the Baton Rouge Class from ST Chronology.

From canon evidence, my own conclusions and analaysis of the episodes, I have established the following ships as Constitutions.

Constellation
Constitution
Defiant
Enterprise
Excalibur
Exeter
Hood
Intrepid
Kongo
Lexington
Potemkin
Yorktown

Amazingly, this makes for a total of 12 Constitutions in TOS, which is makes me pretty happy. However, TVH shows us that there was a second USS Intrepid (mentioned in script, cut out,) along with atleast 1 other Enterprise-class ship, both of which are seen in Spacedock with the E-A and Excelsior. Additionally, there is the small problem of the Constellations registry, which can actually be explained quite easily. The Excelsior NX-2000 was comissioned in the 2280's, but in TMP, the USS Entente NCC-2120 is mentioned as being active. Now, that means that the Excelsior was given her registry before her construction began in the 2270's, perhaps even earlier if one considers the amount of R&D her Transwarp drive would need.

What does this tell us? Well, the next known Excelsior is the USS Repulse NCC-2544, which should have been around since the late 2280's. Apparently, there is a registry assignment gap between the first and second Excelsiors. I extrapolate that there is infact a second prototype USS Constitution (NCC-1000, which is althogether fitting once you consider the Excelsior's registry; the next Starship class), in addition to the one we know.

Here is my "corrected" Connie/Enterprise registry list, which includes the second Intrepid and Conny. (This is also the one that I use in my SFC shiplist)

||1000 Constitution
||1017 Constellation
||1700 Constitution
||1701 Enterprise
||1702 Potemkin
||1703 Hood
||1705 Excalibur
||1706 Exeter
||1709 Lexington
||1710 Kongo
||1711 Farragut
||1717 Yorktown
||1764 Defiant
||2131 Intrepid (built as an Enterprise)
||1701-A Enterprise (originally the refitted Yorktown)

I hope this theory helps some of you.

i know that but i was wondering in the game sfc, what type of phasere should the asia have?, phaser 1 is too advance for the eras so it must be phaser 3, also for the original constitution ncc1700, what weapon did the ship have and total engine power ect to the refit  the enterprise received when kirk received the ship to the last upgrade before the movie.  if anyone have that knowlege.     was just trying to have more fed from pre-tos to tos.

Well heres my take on it;  2 type 2 phaser FH, 4 type 3 phaser 2 LS, 2 RS,  2 photon torpedos FA, reduce shields by half  Warp Power would be maybe 10 boxes each, along with 3 impluse, and 3 batteries.

Upgraded Asia Would be all phasers type2 same fireing arcs, still 2 photon torpedos FA, shields add maybe 4 to 6 boxes each, power 12 warp boxes, 4 impulse, 4 batteries.

As for the Movie Enterprise there are no official stats, But the SFB version of the Movie Enterprise simply doubled everything.

But if you want them I can get the stats that FASA used. for the Movie Enterprise.

i got the info for the enterprise, beside the weapon for the enterprise movie, i just need to know when the constitution was lunch, what engine power and weapon did the ship have,  and for the upgrade the ship have when kirk get command of it and the upgrade the ship received after before the movie, before the upgrade to constitution mk II or enterprise class.
