Do any of you have an Echostar DP301 unit for Dish network?
« on: December 23, 2003, 09:48:11 pm »
It is a new unit, but one of the last to use the programable cards (I think most Sat companies do not use cards anymore, am I correct?). If you do or can get one from a friend or associate who switched over to cable, please pm me as I have a KILLER business proposition, no strings and no illegalities attached. I'm serious folks... Those units are in SERIOUS demand in Mexico as the cable companies suck. I also know people in El Paso that are looking to buy as well. Tax free, no criminal activities, no risk, holler at me if you can find one that works and noone uses, or if you can buy one that works for around 50 bucks or so.

joker, pm me later or let me know your hours, I will explain the deal, I'm sure that you will LOVE it! We share the profits, half and half, even though I know I could buy low and sell high, I am not that kind of person. I have to go to family of Vicky, but will respond later, and you can tell me what you think.

Thanks amigo, I'll do you right if you like the proposition.

I meant to say, Direct TV will work as well, but people here prefer Dish Network since they have more spanish tv stations. The local tv sucks BIG TIME, and the cable company is like the days of old, they have monopolies. I can find buyers for the Direct TV receivers that use the card like a computer does, but the Dish Network will fetch the premium prices. Believe it or not, they are VERY EXPENSIVE here, there are no Best Buys or Circuit City's here though there is Sam's and Wal Mart, but the newer units are cardless, and the card models are key to everything. We are doing nothing illegal, just transferring one product from one nation to another, what they do with the equipment through other people here is their business. When I return to Austin, I will be on a serious hunt for people wanting to ditch or sell their units at cheapo prices, but with you guys, I'm willing to share the profits, half and half. Don't worry, the products will not be needed to be mailed to Mexico, I will pick them up in El Paso at a distant family memebers house and get my butt back to C.C. and sell to the distributors.

BTW, for all you people that build computers, they are very expensive here, too bad I do not have a shop, we could sell what you build at a much lower price, and Mexico would be getting more connected. They are making progress though, a T1 line costs around 250 dollars per month! Man, in Austin you are looking at a grand or more!

I thank everyone that has responded to this thread. I also want everyone to know that I broke a rule (heck, I did not know), and while people may pm me regarding this matter, please refrain from posting here publicly until Erik, Ann, and others make a decision regarding other options for us.

Dracho, please pm me regarding your alarm system. I'm very interested in your product and would rather help a forum member than going to best buy or some other corp.
