Topic: Need some advice about Dominion Wars mode...

I was able to get a copy of the Dominion Wars mode from a guy that has a Cable modem, but I need some advice if I should install it over my unmodded copy of SFC3.  The mode looks really neat, but I would like too know the pro's and cons too the mode compared to others.  

Is the mode able to be used ok by Dialup users like me?  I've notice that it has over 300 models in it, but are these models high in poly count?  I still use a P3 to play and I try too only use models that are under 2500 polys most of the time.  I have a feeling that most people that use DW are broadband players with extremely fast systems.

Also, what makes DW a good mode?  Is it a mode heavily tested and balanced by people or is it just something that is fun to play?  Unmodded SFC3 is ok, but I would like too play a mode that feels a little more realistic and has more balance then this.  I hear NannerSlug is creating a mode too and wondering if I should wait too see what his is like.

Any thoughts on the DW mode would be most appreciated.

i think dominion wars is a good mod. there are major differences in all mods. Dominion wars has been around longer than any mod really. it has the most diverse scripts and largest number of ships. im sure pelican can fill you in on the game play style.

I would try it. If you dont like it, you can always uninstall it - so my advice would be take a chance and try it!
