Well I feel as if I am being personally attacked by the way of treatment, and it seems as if you are trying to stop freedom of speech on this thread of mine! Iam sorry but I feel that perhaps you (Taldren Admin) should have informed ME properly before getting rid of my post!! I personally work for a congressman in the US, and if i didn?t inform someone of something i would of received allot of crap, or in simple terms from the people! I personally think that you are trying to hide a relative topic that this site can?t control; I thought that forums were a place to talk, and explore topics. I believe that this was in some way a personal attack in trying to prevent my opinion in expression. I did in no way slander Taldren in my post of expression, or bad mouth in any such way. Iam sorry but I feel like you are trying to censor my freedoms of speech!! Thank you for your time Acid-rain

Acidrain, relax - your thread wasn't gotten rid of.  It was just moved to a forum that was more appropriate for its content.

Well I don't think you need to take a chill pill. However, you should be aware that recently the forum moderators have taken on a more active role than their original charter (keeping pornography off the forum), and have appearently been given the authority and direction to determine what is and isn't appropriate to discuss in which forum, no matter how innocuous or legitimate a question.  This apparently extends to determining for us what is or isn't a dead horse topic. To me a dead horse thread is one in which the discussion has simply degraded into a rehashing of the same arguments round and round without adding anything new, as opposed to any thread on a topic that has been asked before for someone than may be new. Thus I felt it a bit heavy handed for the moderators to move your thread as it hadn't degraded to that level of discussion, but appearently if a particular topic is irritating to a moderator then they can decide to move it now.

All that said, I would added that it wasn't personnel, the over moderation of late has been pretty evenly applied, and has more to do with the particular whims of the moderators on any given day and little if anything to do with you personally.

I would added that while I think the moderation is a bit OTT these days, this is a privately owned forum and thus the right to free speech is in no way being hindered. Thus you or any of us that don't like it are still free to start our own forum.

But other than that it was a personal attack on my freedoms, i for one believe that when topics about issues that are going with TAldren they simple suspend someones account! What is that?! Is Taldren afaid of the truth or something? This doesnt make sense and i felt my personal freedoms of speech were being taken away. Thier for perhaps the moderators should make better decision in their own opionion if a topic is to racy and therefore moved. Iam sorry that i may offend many of you! Thank you for your time. The way I understand it, the thread was moved to the Equine Graveyard because it was a topic that had been discussed to the point of boredom several times before. It was not moved to silence you, or annoy you, or infringe upon your rights (although this is Taldren's board, so they don't actually owe you much in the way of rights here...) As for your claim about Taldren suspending the accounts of people who raise certain topics, I have this to say -  

Calm down, take a step back - and realise that nobody was trying to attack you.

I think some of the old-timers here are a little quick to jump on new folks and slam them for "dead-horse" topics. How could you have possibly known???

Some of the responses to you may have sounded a tad elitist. I'm sure it was not intended.

Please continue to post and contribute! Hopefully, the next time someone new posts something that was discussed a year ago, the old-timers will be more understanding...

No one has taken away your personal freedom of speech, since you have no such freedom on a privately owned forum. In fact it is only Taldren that has any right to free speech as far as it occuring on their property is concerned. You do have the right to create your own forum or web site that says whatever you want, thus your freedoms are still intact.

Dude if you work for the government you should know your personal freedom of speech has no relevance in a private forum.

Taldren can legally edit or delete every single word you type in here if they are so inclined.
