(I posted this over on the D2 forum, but I figured I'd cross-post it for my friends in the OT fora who don't go there...)

Hi, all...just thought some of you might like to hear the good news (for us, bad news for the Freds

).

Alyson Jean was born at 5:31 PM on December 17th. At birth, she weighed in at 6lbs and 5 oz (a little bundle of Klingon fury) and measured 19". She has a lot of blonde hair, just like her parents and older sister Jessica.

Everything went smoothly and both mom and baby Warrior are doing fine. When I left the hospital this morning, they were both going to try and get some rest. They earned it.

The only sad part of the whole affair is that due to the flu season, the hospital administration isn't allowing any kids under 12 years old into the hospital, so Jessica doesn't get to see her mom or her new sister for a few days.

Anyway...figured I'd give you all the good word. I'm off to rejoin the family at the hospital!
