Let's Go Eagles!
« on: December 15, 2003, 03:35:35 pm »
With a rumor of 15,000 + Eagles fans heading down to Miami for tonights game, I figure this thread is long over due

E - A - G - L - E - S

EAGLES!!!!

Seriously though, say what you want, Philadelphia Eagles fans are the most loyal fans in the country.  It will be interesting to watch the game, when you can hear the Philly fans in the crowd cheering.

Anyone listen to Bruce Jacobs on Fox Sports Radio on Sundays?

Dear Dolphins,

I told you that you suck in December (Plays Dolphins theme song to mock them)

Love,

Bruce Jacobs

He will be laughing his posterior off this Sunday!

  LMAO

There were things I liked and didn't like about the game.

1. Eagles Win.  "Any win is a good win in the National Football League"
2. For less touches than I would have wanted, I think Duce Staley played very well (along with the other 2 running backs).
3. Whenever Duce Staley ran with the ball, you could hear the crowd go "Duuuuuuuuuuce".  This forced Madden to mention the influence of the Eagles in the crowd, which I think he did very appropriately.
4. The crowd itself was good, it made an interesting game.  No matter who did well on a play, you could always hear cheering.

Things I didn't like so much.

1. Stupid Punters.  Apparently the rule is that if you touch him, its a 5 yd penalty, but if you touch him and he flops to the ground, its a 15 yd penalty.  I don't see how that could be roughing the kicker.
2. Duce Staley should have had more touches than he got.
3. Why must they bring up the 30 Eagles fans who booed McNabb (it wasn't all of Philly, it was 30 people, who are now probably his biggest supporters).  They did, at least, mention how it was because we wanted Ricky Williams, but why can't they just put it behind them?

I'm not a big fan of the running back by committee, but I think that Brian Westbrook is their future.  Duce is great for banging out short yardage, but westbrook's speed is much better and he can recieve as well.  The Philly trio seems to be working out, so I can't complain too often.  That end zone dive by bukhalter was great!
