RIP Black Isle Studios

Black Isle Studios, the company responsible for the Fallout series has been disbaned by the almighty Interplay.  I'm implore those in Taldren who know the folks at Interplay to voice their disagreement here.  BIS was a fabulous group of people, and worked just as hard as the folks at some other place I know.

Fear not, the core of Black Isle is up and running as an independent studio for some time now...  I won't say more for even that is too much.

Tis positive.

Most of the crew of BIS are good people, and my heart goes out to them, at least those I know who still might be there. But Interplay stopped being Interplay a long time ago. Hopefully the scattered seeds of that company will bear better fruit elsewhere.

This is the biggest tease since Jinxx ran around the forums and chat rooms saying "Arrr" a few weeks after SFC2 was released.

Yes, if I follow you...if I recall, the same people are all together once again...those who brought you the original Fallouts, the Baldurs Gate games, etc...but they aren't with Interplay or Black Isle...it's an independant studio...

And from what I gather, they are working closely with Bioware...their old buds of the past...on a very cool game that should make a heck of a lot of people salivate...

I have yet to play the first one in the series though.  If it's what I'm hearing from my uncle though...it's a good relationship with Bioware...and the game is going to probably be just as good as the first...and kick major...well you know what.

Dash, I don't know if you can swing It, But places like wal-Mart, target etc. still have Fallout 1/2 for about 10 bucks man.

I really think you would like such a game. And If you can't find It, at least try and locate wasteland On line. that was the game which really started the Genre, that Fallout so excellently followed.

I am kinda surprised, I know most of us have Played the BG/IWD series, and this conversation seems to be Dominated With Fallout. Not that that's a bad thing, Just an observation.

I might give the F/O's a try...but the game I was talking about that the old BIS people (now in another studio that is not BIS and is not connected to Interplay in any way as far as I know) are working on...is something else...though it is an RPG...and a sequel...
