To all involved,

I apologize for coming across as heavy handed in my asking for "a favor"
about the new show.  I did not intend to be coercive but I apparently
failed.

To Death Merchant, I am sorry for blowing this whole thing out of
proportion and letting a disagreement turn into the mess I made of it.

To Toasty0, you have always been an asset to these boards and
in no way deserved the diatribe I launched against you, regardless
of any disagreement with myself or Nanner.  I am sorry.

To Lepton1, I still don't get half the things you say, but I am sorry
for insulting you in any way.

I know "sorry" can't set all straight, but maybe it can put the open
hostilities to a rest.

Respectfully,

Dave

Dave,

I've avoided posting in your threads after our last communication, but this deserves a reply.

It's big of you to post this.

It's no big deal. All's well as far as I'm concerned.

I'd be nice if we could bury the hatchet someplace other than in each other's head

Cheers, DM

David,

No, sorry is just fine, David. I certainly hope there are no "non-open" hostilities either. If you still feel some "issues" about our disagrement you know both my PM, email, and or phone number.

I'm glad you finally recognize the work that others have put forth for OP, EAW, and SFC3. Though I certainly recognise your monumental effort(s) I also see a lot of folks (both Taldren employees and volunteers) who put in a lot of their personal time lifting these games to another level. I especially think that both you and I should keep formost in our minds the many many hours that all the beta testers put forth without once asking for anything from Taldren or the Taldren community. To the best of my knowledge not a one asked for a free game or any other kind of "thing" from Taldren or the community. I think it is they that you and I should always thank first and last before we ever thank ourselves. I thank all their effort every time I log onto this community because in large part it has been their dedication and selfless contribution(s) that have kept this community roaring, rocking, and exceedingly dynamic.

I think what I'm trying to say here, David, is that we were a team whether it was one of us slugging through 50,000 lines of code or one of us spending a 2 week vacation executing the same damn routine through all the races and ship classes. Maybe the regular forum member didn't realize this (and why should they), but you should've and did't or you forgot. Either way, the result was the same. Ok, enough about that as it seems that for whatever reason you once again see that we were a team working toward a common goal with whatever talents we had available to us to bring to the table. I think you're being stand-up by saying as much now. It is a good thing you do, David.

Other than that one nit that I think I've now worked through (thank you for listening) I hold no ill will for the other "stuff". I chalk it up to the fact that we all have our crosses to bear and at times that burden can cause us to act in a manner that we later regret. I see your regret David and offer my hand.

Best,
Jerry

Thanks all.

Toasty0, I agree with all you said. I did not forget the testers,
apparently I did not express that enough.

I am proud to have worked with the testing team and very happy
to call you friends.

Thaks,

Dave
