I don't think SCO has anything, else they would not have been so recalcitrant to show any evidence to people they say stole their IP. They have been hoping on the corporate tendency to settle lawsuits without regard to who's right or wrong just to make the huge expense of a trial go away.

That may be true of SCO, but that certianly has not been Sun Systems modus operandi. Their entry into this frey open a demension that leaves me going, "hmmmm?".

Best,

simple sun have taken huge hits in the last couple of years and want to roll out their new desktop OS with no risk of getting bogged down with fees if SCO were to go after them too

Here is something else very odd

Quote:

High profile pleader David Boies didn't tip up to the hearing, said Groklaw, which is hard to understand.

Instead SCO was represented by Darl's kid brother, Kevin McBride (47).

Why is it that the official lawyer for SCO did not even showup?

I am curious to see if SCO will leave the "evidence" public or try to get the Judge to seal it.

Something tells me SCO will be looked at very closely by the SEC shortly. The whole house of cards is about to come crashing down. I would advise anyone owning stock in SCO to sell it now as the company can't pull out of this mess. Even if they dismiss their own suit, IBMs countersuit will squash them.
