« on: February 16, 2003, 09:45:53 am »
Purcahsed a new PC with ATI 9700 Pro and SFC3 became coaster ware for about 6 weeks.  ATI patch on Feb 10 and now I cna play .  However, now I have found a problem with Sound Blaster Audigy.  Music plays but no effects will play.  Anyone got any ideas.

Thanks

I think that might not be your soundcard.  I think that may be the program.  I never ran into the bug, so I can't recall how to re-enable the sound effects, but there are those here that can tell you, or if you do a search of the forum you might be able to find their answers.  Just a hunch that it's SFC 3 and not your card.

*Raises his hand* I believe I can help with that one.... Open up Program FIles, Open Activision, Open SFC3, then look for the SFC 3.ini file.  open it, and look for SOUND=0.  If sound is at zero then  change it to 3 and you should have your sound effects back....  Make sure you save the file. HTH
