I tried to download it myself, and couldn't get it to work.  Does anyone know if 3ddownloads has an account limit?  I'm hosted through SFCU, so I only have the login.  None of the details.  37 downloads.  That's over 100Mb in one day.

Right, I've tried repeatedly, but that site just wont download anything, when I run the mouse over the 'start downloading' link the link shows up as http://www.3ddownloads.com/strategy-gaming/sfc/Khaliban/Kit01.zip# now, when I click on that nothing happens, when I click to open in a new window it just opens the same page I was already on but in a new window. When I try to 'save target as' it downloads a zip file around 13k with nothing in it - the same webpage I'm assuming.
Thi is really p!ssing me off as I wanted to get the Andromeda aswell, and if Khaliban uses the same 3Ddownloads to host the full ship, I'll never be able to get it - unless it get's hosted somewhere else as well. 3Ddownloads sux major ass!

Don't know what to tell you, Lestat.  I just tried a couple of files and got them to work.  Maybe it's timing.

Khaliban - the link in my last post, is that the D/L link? Because that's the only link on that page, and it just opens itself - the same page pops up - over and over; WTF am I doing wrong? it's not just your stuff either, I tried to test it by clicking on that UT2003 expansion, it brought up a page with a link to the D/L and when I clicked on that the same page with the same link to the D/L popped up, so it's either the site, or me; and as you people have no problems that means it's sometihng I'm doing.

Edit: I figured out how to say this clearly: On the page for kit01.zip there is a link which clearly says 'start downloading', this link is NOT a link to the actual download, nor does it in any way start the download, it is just a link the page for kit01.zip - the same page that I was already on - there would appear to be no link on anything on that site that will actually download, even when the cue of people says 0 the link does nothing but load up the same page again.

Hell - at least your getting a lot of publicity for the model - keeping this right near the top aye

Wow, this is an absolutely beautiful model. Great job! I think you nailed the subtle aztec patterning.

One thing that I notice is your illumination lights on the underside sides of the saucer seem to be a bit too crisp along the away-edges, which should be fading into darkness abit more, in my opinion. Other than that....this is truly outstanding.

After recently clicking on the last link provided by Vamp Lestat, I saw the page in all it's glory and clicked on the "Start Downloading" program and a new window popped up saying I was queued for a few minutes (4) and then after that I can download the file.  Vamp must have a problem with his computer or something... I don't know.  It works for me.

Not sure.  I'm building the LoDs now.  A lot of parts from LOD1 are recycled into LOD2.  Some parts from 2 go into 3.  The textures are the same, resized, for each.  I could release the LOD1 model now.  It has all textures, illumination maps and hardpoints.  But no break model.  It's 9750 polygons, though.  It will hurt most machines.

3d-downloads really are f*****g c**p! im fed up of waiting in line for 30 odd minutes only to get a 403 forbidden  .

Is there no-where else where you can post the files Khaliban?

Anyone who can grab the model has my permission to host it.  I know file sites can be unreliable sometimes.  As for the progress, LODs are boring and tedious, as anyone will tell you.  That's another reason why I released the LOD1.  The LOD2 is maybe half done.  I took a little time off and did some work on a new Lexington class.  The Lexington is a bit tougher.  It's not a perfect reproduction.  I have to be creative on some of the parts.
