Need to find Cleeve and Anarion

Anarions' site has no link to contact him there, and I left one at Cleeves but I no longer know if he still frequents there.
So I need to contact them so I can release this.

Yes,
Anarion did the model and textures
Cleeve converted it into SFC also was responsible for getting Anarion to do it to begin with.

Description of the Mod File (by Anarion)
----------------------------------------

Greetings!  I hope you enjoy my low-poly version of the Churchill.  You are free to use in any Starfleet Command II mods so you do as long as credit is given.  However it is not intended to be altered or individual parts used without permission.

U.S.S. Churchill Challenger Class Advanced Tactical Cruiser

length 284.08
draft      63.05
beam  141.70
disp    280k  mt

In the last years of the 23rd century, relations between the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire were at their lowest point in nearly a century.  With the destruction of Praxus (a key energy production facility) and the subsequent collapse of their economy, expansionist factions on Qo'noS gained support.  Despite peace overtures and offers of aid from theFederation, the Klingons annexed several systems on their outer borders.  Starfleet Command felt that the Klingons would soon turn their attentions toward the Neutral Zone.  After decades of peace, and Starfleet's current mission of exploration, the Federation was left unprepared for the new threat.

In 2292 the Federation Council ordered the Starfleet Corps of Engineers to construct new ships to supplement the force assigned to patrol the Klingon border.  After the costly and disappointing Excelsior class, the SF Oversight Committee felt that a more conventional approach, utilizing tried technology and manufacturing techniques, was required.  The result was the Challenger class.

Based on the venerable Constitution class, the Challenger class was more heavily armed and produced nearly double the power output of its predecessor.  It also carried two subordinate craft designed to extend its sensor range or aid in its defense if necessary.

Construction commenced in 2293 at the new Utopia Planitia Shipyards in orbit around Mars.  The U.S.S. Challenger was launched an unprecedented six months later.  Starfleet had high hopes that the addition of this new powerful ship would act as a deterrent to aggression against the United Federation of Planets and restore stability to the Alpha quadrant.

Steps to install
----------------

1.  Make a new directory in your
    Starfleet Command\Assets\Models\  folder called "_F_TMP_Churchill"
2.  Copy the contents of the zip file into the new

    "Starfleet Command\Assets\Models\_F_TMP_Churchill\" folder.

3.  Finally, open the shiplist.txt file located in the
Starfleet Command\Assets\Specs\ folder with Notepad. Better yet, use the
shipedit program to edit the shiplist.txt file... you can get it here:
    http://shipedit.starfleetuniverse.com/

From here you have a choice... you can:

   1.  Replace the model geometry of one of the existing ships
(the C11 Dreadnoughts are my picks)
       with the following \Assets\Models\_F_TMP_Churchill\Churchill-i.mod

        Or :

   2. you can insert the Churchill stats inbetween the existing row
           entries of the shiplist.txt file.
<<CAUTION:  This may cause some problems with the function of SFC,
espically during Multiplayer and Single player campaigns>>

Captain Ron, there are 2 versions of the Churchill: One is a super detailed, high poly version, and the oher is a much less detailed low poly version. Is there any possibility (if you get permissions) that you might do your excellent retexture work on the low poly Churchill?

Actually the low poly one is used as the LOD 2 on the High poly one.

I had retextured the low one for personal use along time ago. Since it was a LOD I simply copied those textures into the file so they are done and in there. They also have a different look to them so they can be actually run as two seperate ships.

Sorry Ron, haven't checked my email in a while. I do browse the taldren modelling forum once a month or so though.

I can't really give permission to release as the model isn't mine, I only converted it to SFC.

Still, I think you're OK to do it as long as you use the original readme and add yourself with a credit as "New textures by".

Nice work, BTW...

Thanks Cleeve.

I think I found a lead on Anarion, will find out later this week. You had disappeared and was worried you were no longer around, so many have left.

Well, the new textures of the USS Churchill  do a great job of enhancing the details up close  BUT Its driving me nuts that the ship textures do not match at a distance....

I am currently using this as my FCX.

Yeah,
I should fix that...

It is the orginal ship That the churchill was in the first release. It also uses the textures from that ship I did many moons ago. Except on the secondary hull it is not to noticable.
