Get and install the SFC *.MOD import/export plugins for max4.

Can somebody please provide a link to these?

I'm pretty sure you'll still find them both (max3 and max4 mods) in the downloads section at the Nightsoft site... I can't really check on that for you, as I'm using the work laptop illicitly at the moment, and have to watch what I'm doing because we're being charged and exorbitant minutely rate by the hotel to stay online.

I donīt know if this is the best way, but it is the only way I know....

I couldnīt find a way to "copy" and "paste" parts of the mesh. But you can open a file and then import the other one without replacing the entire scene. So now you have both ships in the same scene.

Hope this helps.

In max
Break up the ships and save each bit that you want then when you have a file open
Go to the very top of the screen click file scroll down to merge then chose the file you want to add

I know this sounds stupid (and you probly all ready tried this) but at the bottom right of the scree is a button called zoom extents all click it and every in the screen should show up
