I think it's in the D2 mod.If i remember corectly it was a FASA ship.Always loved it really gives you a "predator" look.

This pic is not a FASA-canon Winged Defender, there have been some liberties taken......like the round main hull reminiscent of a Rom BOP. P81 made a FASA-canon Winged Defender for the D2 Mod......odd, the textures on the one in this pic look like something P81 would do though. Or maybe whoever made this was influenced by P81's textures. Art influencing life influencing art.....

I just assumed that it was a "poor" copy of it,or done by someone with a picture of the craft at a weird angle or something.Artistic license or a new variant never ocured to me.

But you are right it's not exact.

look like hybrid out of the Bird of Vengeance and the FASA Winged Defender, those big guns on the bottom are stupid but the ship design itself is a good one but never a V 30 Winged Defender

you're right, this is no canon fasa v-30, it's my interpretation. i long time ago i was asked to re-do some romulan ships, among them the v-30. i didn't really like the original design so i changed it. i think the overall appearence resembles the canon v-30 quite good.
yes, i looked at sf-a's bov and liked the way the body was shaped and the wings were attached. so i implemented it. i also changed the tail.
regarding the textures, i dunno wether i was inspired by P81's ones.
as for the "stoopid" giant guns, just take a look at the original one and tell me what these large things below the bottom are supposed to be

i also had a version withe the guns mounted like the original one but it destroyed the overall look of the ship.

so now if i'd show you my interpretation of a t-10 or z-1 what would you do to me? the are even more abstracted from the original design (well, the t-10 isn't even recognizable anymore... but cool nonetheless

Why would the guns be stupid?

No one said that about the Raven designed ships that Mindblip did. They were probably proportionally similar in size. This isn't a huge ship so the guns wouldn't be all that big anyways.

What about the big gun they added to the Galaxy X. Now that's stupid.

the giant one that's mounted to the lower primary hull which is also connected to the neck, the ones on the sides of the bridge module and on the engine-pylons.

and as i said, the guns on the original v-30 are about the same size as mine. nobody complained about the disruptors on the wingtips of the really large k'vort class or the guns on the neggie. so....

aldi, you should post your T-10 and any other romulans. I think someone should make them, cuz we don't have enough romulans. Who cares if they aint canon or up to sdpec to a given game or show, Romulans are Romulans, and if we can tolderate azels we can cetainly tolerate these.
