The Hydran Paladin was built in answer to the Klingon C8 and C9 Dreadnoughts that had been used against the Hydrans. It carries a mix of hellbores and fusion beams. Like most Hydran ships, it carries fighters, which comprise a significant part of its combat power.

Hydran dreadnoughts are vicious...I fear anything with 4 hellbores and enough power to use them.
