Clear cut case of one hand not knowing what the other is doing
« on: November 25, 2003, 11:39:44 am »
Just got the mail today and one of the things was a offer of life insurrance from the Company I was fired by.

And a few weeks ago I got one offering me health insurance for 250$ a month. Thing is one of the conditions for them was I could not have been let go for a safety Violation, which is what they called the acident in September I had. Even tho It was not ruled my fault and I got no ticket from it. I was still fired by the company for haveing it in the first place.

And now they are starting to send me these renewals for all this stuff I got when I first started with them. Kinda funny in a way they still think I work for them, I guess updateding employee files is a low prioritiy

Any of you other have this happen to you, you quit or got fired and still get stuff from the companies you worked for.

hehe, Yep indeed. I once worked for the AOL call center here in OKC, and Got fired for taking the day off. you see, You gain sick leave, in an account, and then If you need It, you call a number, and tell them how many hours you want off for the day.

I had acumulated alot of Leave time, and had a horrible cold that day. anyway, the next day I went to work, worked half a day when I was called into HS. They let me go saying I didn't have any time in the sick Bank.

A week later, I got a check, and an apoligy for my accrued sick leave. To the tune of about 2 grand.

I was DbA and Web Designer for a company, it took them almost 2 years to remove my e-mail, FTP & Web Admin access.

Bet if you had some fun with those for a bit they would have been quicker to remove them!
