Irvine, CA - Project managers and Producers at Activision were caught off guard by never-changing specification from Taldren, causing the upcoming SFC3 patch to be delayed indefinitely.

"It was an nightmare. Usually, I can play Diablo II up until about a week before projected launch," said Producer Dan Hagerty, "because that's when management calls me into a meeting to tell me the client revised the specs, and I get another two weeks to work on it in Q&A. But, this time the client stuck with the original spec. I'm screwed."

Harry Lang, who also worked on the project agreed, "I try not to shave for the 3 or 4 days leading up to the 'patch pre-release meeting' so the client thinks I've been up late nights. I mean, I have, but just playing games. Then they drop this bomb on me that they don't want to change anything."

Dan Hagerty who managed the project said he was frustrated by his developers speed at putting out a patch to fix SFC3. "I was expecting an e-mail from the Dave Ferrell at any time telling me to halt everything, because they found more bugs that  no one had found yet, but it just never came. I even called them a couple of times with suggestions for them to make it more like Bridge Commander or revise this, but they always fixed the stuff to damn fast!"

Eric Bethke from Taldren said he "could understand" Activision missing the deadline because they only wanted to release one patch instead of the three patch schedule Taldren put out. "I understand that releasing patches can be costly, and that they'll pay us the same price for one or three."

Hagerty wanted whatever Bethke was smoking.

Okay, I changed some names and all...

It's just a nice little teasing of the guys here...don't lynch me.  I really do love Taldren.
