If you go with an All-in-wonder type of card from ATI, you would not need your current video card.

Me, I prefer Nvidia, but that is just a personal preference. I don't have any video capture needs.

I believe that ATI also has a USB Capture devise that would do the same thing. I still have my old Dazzler that plugs into my printer Port. It was pretty good, and had the features you requested. I'm sure they Prob. Have a firewire version now.

Go with something from Pinnacle Systems with firewire, if possible.

I'm looking for a USB video capture device also.  My wife's laptop has a DVD burner on it, but no video capture devices.  It has both Firewire and USB ports on it so I can go with either interface.
