El Finito, James Formo's Bradbury for SFC 1 and SFC 2..

..and is WIP for SFC 3!  (just have to do up the damage textures and get someone to glow/recache the puppy when it's done).

Some groovy action shots:

http://www.strategyplanet.com/sfc/sedl/dropbox/alec/imgs/bradbury_final_2.jpg

http://www.strategyplanet.com/sfc/sedl/dropbox/alec/imgs/bradbury_final_5.jpg

And there's a wallpaper for James (and anyone else really, but it *was* made for James:

http://www.strategyplanet.com/sfc/sedl/dropbox/alec/imgs/bradbury_wallpaper.bmp

And I guess you all want the link now, right?

SFC 1
(be careful with the break mod, might not be completely right!)
http://www.strategyplanet.com/sfc/sedl/dropbox/alec/dls/bradbury_sfc1.zip

and the SFC 2 version:
http://www.strategyplanet.com/sfc/sedl/dropbox/alec/dls/bradbury_SFC2.zip

And as I'd said, the SFC 3 version is on the way.. mesh work is done, just the damage textures and it can be glowed and such..

Also included is a Voyager-era styled registry for the Newton for the people that want something more Voyager-looking for their registries..
Enjoy!

As I said over at SFC3 net. Great Job Alec .

I d/l it and had it in game already.  Just superb work on the textures.  Notice the kinda rough seem where the rear of the hull meets the warp struts.  I was able to smooth that up by welding the faces.

So for the SFC3 release go ahead and weld all the faces and then smooth-that will polish off the mesh abit.

Can't get over how nice you got it looking  Thanks again man.

For the SFC 3 release, I've already welded all the vertices, so welding the faces and smoothing shouldn't be a problem.

Not a problem.. glad that I could help you out with this one.    It was an interesting challenge (especially with the little actual physical time I had to work on it), and working on a ship with a joined hull/nacelle was quite interesting.

Heres a patch for the Bradbury. Just over rite the mod file with this mod file.    Leave the breakk as is. You still need the larger files above.

I rewelded the faces so the back of the hull is now as smooth as a babies bottom .

And it's now mirrored with the other files:

Along with uploaded to TMS (although Mackie looks to be suffering with a borked PHP script again)..

You don't know how *tempting* it was to rename this file (when I mirrored it):
Bradburybabybumfix.zip

That makes me wonder something.. how do you think that this version compares to Lance's original design?  Are there things about it that you like?  That you dislike?  Have you downloaded it and tried it ingame yet?  How does it fly?  And play?  These are all the things that we loooooove to hear.

I am expecting it for sfc3 as i have no 1 or 2 but i have seen Lance's original design and this is pretty good though wide and needs a little more texture as far as i see. though very nice model as it is one of the most popular models(and one of my favorite!)

I've been converting dozens of Star Wars models to SFC3, i think i get how to do it by now  I can add glows and recache it for you if you want.

Thanks for the comments.  I think atheorhaven put more windows and boats on this version then on the one shown on that website. Your probably referring to the blue markings on the back of the hull/nacell struts.  I like atheorhavens version myself-think it fits in better with how the other ships in the TNG era were textured. Its all personal taste though.

As far as maybe the hulls being wider. I did the mesh in Milkshape which doesn't allow you to import schematics like 3dsmax.  So I just had to kinda eyeball it.  This was my second mesh. I was learning the software still. I rebuilt the entire ship about 5 times, still I didn't get the hull quite like I wanted. Its a tough shape to do.

I maybe biased here-but this ship really seems to bank better than most others for its size.  Probably due to the shape of the saucer.

So...do you want me to add the glows and recache it and make the UI's and everything for SFC3?  I'd love to help out, and i have experience (i've been converting dozens of Star Wars mods for the last two weeks).

I have no problem with that..  But it's up to James ultimately.. it's his ship after all...

Sigh I still don't have SFC3.  Sure release away. Great job Praxis. Be sure to include the original readme and add your name to credits for conversion.

I'm curious as to what hull class you are givin it, cause I see intrepid up above. This ship is sized at 600 meters in length.
So it is meant to be a heavy cruiser.  In fact due to the dual hulls, this ship would in theory have a lot of reduncy built in.
Thus it would have a lot of systems and very fast shield regeneration.

Thanks for converting this. May have to buy the game to see it.  STill waiting for the customary 10 dollar discount

Hey Praxis. Would you also convert my SS Raven over to SFC3 when its all done?  The best fit would probably as a police frigate  or flagship.  Click link to see how it stands so far.

Weeell, SFC3 works like SFC2 in this way- Players download the model, but they can create their own specs.  Since I don't know how to do the specs in Excel yet, I just swapped the Bradbury with the Intrepid model to see how it would come out ingame.  I was using the Intrepid model and Chris Jones' Intrepid specs to test it.  Sure, i'll do the Raven.

And download the Bradbury for SFC 1 as well.. tested ingame and it works wonderfully.  Even uses the same break mod as the SFC 2 version (and probably the SFC 3 version Praxis?).. so the same ship with the same break mod is now available for your SFC 1, SFC 2:EAW & SFC2:OP, *and* SFC 3 gaming needs!

This version incorporates James Formo's new and improved BabyBumSmooth(tm) version of the starship hull!

And download it here (replaced the old one with this one): >SFC 1 Bradbury<
