Currently assigned to clearing the (steadily decreasing) mountain of uni coursework Ive built up. Doing Applied Computer Technology at Liverpool John Moores University, and Im in my second year.
I actually got into SFC by accident. It was around September 2002, I had just put down Birth of the Federation, and was looking for something Id never tried before. I went to watch one of my Star Trek DVD's, and included in one of them was a full working copy of Starfleet Command (1). I gave it a go, and I was hooked. However, it didnt have any multiplayer aspect to it, so at this point (November 2002) I started casting out for any sequels that were made. I saw SFC2 and OP, but SFC3 had just been released, and since I liked Bridge Commander, I thought that it'd be cool to combine SFC and BC. Played SFC3 online at the end of December, and Ive been hooked ever since. Joined the 9th Fleet around May this year, to meet like-minded players
As I mentioned, Im at university- I was in the RAF cadets for around 2 1/2 to 3 years, retired with the rank of Cadet Sergeant. Had some great times in the cadets, even became a qualified Glider pilot (still got my "budgie" wings
), and I was initially planning to join the Royal Air Force. However, after finding out one of my girlfriend's mates is earning around £40,000/year as a computer consultant, I thought Id have a career change
. Hell, for that money, I think could *buy* a plane before long!
Interested in science, especially theoretical physics- astronomy, 20th Century history,
the League of Gentlemen, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek (obviously
), and expanding my horizons!
