Well here she is all ready to ruin some other races day!

You can find her here in the Federation retextures area. Again I would suggesting looking around as well, ships tend to go up weekly at times.

my only suggestion would be to do something about the rather plain looking dosal pylon, otherwise great work.

The only problem there is the textures are two different sizes there one about 27% smaller. So one side looks right and the other off of blurred. no matter what you put there one side will look good the other not so good. After a few tries with some details there like vents it just would not come out looking right so I scraped them and darkened the aztec there.

can't u just take the larger one and mirror or invert it or whatever for the other side? Making the small texture larger wont change the mapping. Hell, I've streached the crap out of them on the first couple azel mdoels when he made them some odd size that my vid card didn't like and it didn't affect the model.

In the case of vents or symbols not really

If you add a vent on the larger side it looks like a vent, on the smaller side it is a blurr of black. If you add it on the smaller side it looks rightthere, but on the flip side it looks like a small hanger.

In symbols one side will look right. for the other the symbol will look like it was built of legos, or be a red blur.

About the only thing you can add is lines like those used on the secondary hull. only problem is the tapering and lining them up if they flow around the hull. If you add vertical ones lining them up witn the saucer becomes nightmarish. might go back and play with it after I get everything else I need to get done out of the way but that will probably be around X-mas (if anyone modelling is still at these froums by then)

Ya know guys just when I think that I cannot be impressed any further, poof there are new retextures coming off the yards.
Makes reading and looking at these forums in my graphics class even more enjoyable.

BTW the digital animation and filmmaking guys are very impressed, shall we say green with envy?

Hey, that's cool! Maybe we'll have a few new converts someday.

Maybe even some future starship modelers (that would be too cool!)
