Okay, tell me what you think about this.

Remember the episode of TNG with spock acting as an ambassador to romulas? Yes? Good!

Okay, now, take into account that we was attempting to bring peace talks between vulcan and romulas.

Now suppose that no matter how damned hard he tried, it didnt work.

Alright, so up comes this Reman resistance
Spock and his followers see this as a good oppurtunity to help overthrow the romulan government in order to allow a more beneficial one.

Okay, so what does spock do?

Well so besides having the backing of some romulan admirals, Shinzon also gains backing of some of the vulcan people, but at the behest of spock, they keep it under wraps.

It would also explain the Photon Torpedo Launchers on the Scimitar (as apposed to Plasma Torpedoes)

So i have to ask, Was the Scimitar really a pure Reman design, or was it a blending of Vulcan, Reman, and Romulan (taking into accound that Reman and Romulan would actually be very closely related)

MY Spock?  Giving away Starfleet tech??  Never!  Why he must have LOGICALLY inferred that that strange looking Reman was unstable and would never benefit all of Romulus.  Besides, why would the ever doubting, suspicious, cautious Romulans listen to a guy who used point his big phasers at them?

Nahhh... don't go there!

I must admit after reading over it, it is a stretch, but somehow i want to connect the Vulcans to the Reman rebellion, maybe AFTER nemesis took place the Vulcans where the leading members of the federation to support it.

So i wonder what would a Reman/Vulcan Hybrid look like?

Reman sympathetic Romulans, perhaps with Reman blood in them, infiltrated Spock's Rebellion.  By carefully avoiding Spock himself, they used the Rebellion's network to place some of their operatives in positions to aid Shinzon.  The Romulans, and Remans, possess photon torpedoes because of their intermitant technology exchanges with Kilngons.  Shinzon did not use the plasma torpedoes in the battle because he wanted to capture the Enterprise.  He didn't use it against the Romulans, because they would know tactics to defend against it.

The Scimitar was not a pure Reman design...it couldn't have been...be cause even in the film the ship was said that it was made in secret...and couldn't have gotten passed the Tal S'iar ...the ship had to have been backed by the Romulan government...otherwise its a no go...I mean where was it going to be built at??? how could they hide such a  ship???
But i like the Idea man very cool concept...maybe for the mirror universe

The part about the photon torpedoes doesn't hold up as Romulans have been said to have them since the early seasons of TNG. A few episodes have mentioned the Romulan Warbirds arming photon torpedoes, even though the only weapons they've ever visually fired were pulse/beam disruptors. They may not be the same kind of photons that the Federation and Klingons use but they undoubtedly have some similarities and obviously aren't as powerful as the plasmas. I never did understand why the Empire quit using plasmas, they could've easily increased their range and resistance to weapons fire in the 80 years since Kirk's era. Then again, the Romulans are almost never used to begin with, so they could still have them and just haven't been seen firing them.

I remember in a novel it was said the romulans not the klingons developed the photon torpedo.
