I got this game on discount a few months ago. The game keeps crashing and is so full of bugs, its ridiculous. I have searched high and low hoping I would find a patch for it, alas, no.  There is nothing original at all in its content, adding nothing to the real time strategy genre. The 3D engine is the only thing that sets apart from other similar games, no doubt to appeal to the FPS fans to give a similar feel. However, all this does is get in the way of gameplay. This game clearly shows an amazing lack of game testing and was 'thrown' together very quickly and shoved out there. It's equivalent to a beta beta version that was never developed properly. The concept itself could have been quite good, but its implementation was apalling. I uninstalled this game only hours after I got it, very disgusted with it. The developers leave much to be desired...

I think the intro was pretty cool

It would be nice if MORE folks BUMPed this post in order to get a really cool TMP adversary ship into this game....

I wonder what kind of trouble if any, somebody would get ffor hosting the ST: New Worlds intro. movie?

I don't think you'd get in any trouble.

I've had trouble getting the intro to work without playing the game (it seems I can't find the correct file)

The best thing I like about New Worlds is the advertising it has for other games.  Aside from Klingon Academey (a really coo ad), they have one for SFC2 (which is how I found out about the game in the first place).  So, if it wasn't for New Worlds, I wouldn't be here today

The same thing happens to my game, so dont be too worried about your computer being the problem.

The way people are talking about this game would make someone think that the person whose initials are the forth and the nineteenth letters of the alphabet was part of the development team.

Well, I think that the soundtrack of ST: NW was cool enough to burn on a seperate CD. I wish I could get ALL the SFC1 music. The SFU  d/l site tells me that access is forbidden for anything other than a very few SFC1 music files

In other news, I know there is an attempt being made to get the ST: New Worlds  Intro. movie up for d/l.

Well if DS had done STNW there would be nothing wrong with the game.  You'd just be another noob who couldn't tweak your system or play around the bugs.

This is one of those games Interplay shoved out there.  It's definite crap.  Some very nice graphics though.

Unfortunately my boss went out and bought this game and then asked my advice.  Poor guy paid full price.
