Kreeargh's Andor Refit Released
« on: October 29, 2003, 11:24:37 am »

Final fixes that remove the 'blobby' effect on the  lower saucer light array:

I took the liberty of posting my retextured version of  the Andor Class Refit up at SFU here:

http://dynamic5.gamespy.com/~sfc/files/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=639

Credits are in the updated Readme.

If you can't find it, do a SEARCH for: FASA Andor Class Refit

If you don't like the saucer textures, just about any Connie style saucer texture can be applied to it you want to add.

Thanks again to Kreeargh for making such a fine model.

Qapla!

This one is a classic problem... it's just because all the textures aren't one of the standard sizes.  I've resized the textures, and am about to upload these to SFU as "Andor Refit Fixed Textures.zip"  I've checked this out in the model viewer with the corrected textures, and it looks like a ship now..

(edit:  Okay, file is up...

No worries Kreeargh.. I've already resized the textures, and they're up for download as the next fileID on SFU.  Tested them in the ModViewer and they display normally now.

Somehow during KF's re-texture, he got the BMPs a little smaller by 1 or 2 pixels.. so there was some like 511x510x24bit (instead of 512x512x24), and any like that weren't showing up..

You'll have to open it with WinRAR 3.2 or so... even the DOS version works, but any earlier version of RAR won't.. (can't open it with PowerArchiver here, but open a command prompt in the directory, type rar32 x andor*.rar and it opened right up in it's new directory no problems..)

Doh! I will be more mindful of this in the future. I Did crop a few bmps and forgot to resize them normally because they were working fine on my PC.

Thank you Atheorhaven.

Thanks again Kreeargh!

I doubt that.. there's a lot of people here that do stuff (yourself included), I'm just one of many.

This place would suck without people needing stuff, or asking for stuff... then it'd turn into:

Mesher 1: "Did you see my latest mesh?  I got the idea looking at a cereal box."
Mesher 2: "No, I hadn't looked... I've been taking weird drugs to try and get some ideas for something new, and I've
been in rehab for the last three weeks.  I've lost my job now as well because I didn't come to work for
three weeks, and so I'm losing my Internet connection tomorrow as well."

That would just suck... and soon we'd have noone left at all.

ROTFL!

Wipes tears of laughter from face.

Excellent points Atheorhaven.

   IMPORTANT:

I have combined both files (the ship and texture refit) into one file. (overwrote the old textures and added a credit link for antheohaven in the file.)

and the combined file is now available at the above link.

antheohaven's "fix file" is no longer available as separate download. (640 no long exists)

Thanks to you both.

Hopefully the credit didn't say "antheohaven" instead of "atheorhaven"..

It didn't... I copy and pasted for that file.

Whew, close call.
