I like it.

I would have thought a TMP version would have had more of the sweeping pylons and the flat/boxier nacelles, but this cold be valid TMP craft as well, according to the starship design philosophy Atrahasis was sharing in here a couple of weeks ago (which I thought was VERY insightful).

I'm a huge Daedalus fan. The ship just has something about it that screams "Trek" to me, even louder than a good old fashioned Connie. Maybe it's just me [/shrugs].

Great job!

i did think about that But i wanted to stay close to the tos one too not more too far off the design yet make it look more tmp
as you see the hull is more 1701A style then the tos daedalus giving it that more tmp feel

also the warpengine i went for boxy engines but did not like the look at all so i went for more updated tos look ones

Okay so firstly I'm not a fan of the original TOS version but this looks dam good DM. You've certainly captured the spirit of TMP. I suppose next up would be a TNG, then a future version (hint hint!!!).

looks late tng  or early ambassador era, the red bussards make it look too new for tmp. Mudd's right,, swept back pylons and standard tmp nacelles would fit better.  Still good lookin ship though.

Dark Mattrix can probably do this ship in his sleep, without sleep, upside down and blindfolded too in a shark tank full of great whites all before they eat him!

I, myself, would get rid of the TOS deflector/comm array. I have no idea what I'd put in place of it  if anything. Although I do prefer TMP style engines and a form similar to the USS Pasteur [sp?] I could see this around in the Ambassador's heyday.

The details are great, I spent close to twenty minutes just looking at the details on the ships textures.

Well done.  Thank you for sharing this with us.

Too bad this couldn't be put in to the ENTERPRISE series...

Make the neck more like the Ent-A and raise the sphere above the main deflector. Reduce the size of the deflector and make it recessed like the Exclesior.  It looks a lot like the Olympic class and would make a good hospital ship.  Don't give it the standard TMP nacelles, though.  Give it the Oberth engines.  The whole thing should be ths size of a light cruiser or heavy destroyer, and the engineering hull should resemble a bulkier version of the Oberth hull.

that be a 99% new ship i`m not trying to do a Olympic class ship
and why a oberth? idea is to keep close to the tos one after all its the same design just updated to tmp

Within the guide lines and parameters you were aiming at...  Looks great.  I kinda agree it would be good if we could see some of this kinda stuff in the TV series.

It just looks like it should have Oberth engines.

I very rarely say anything that could be taken as criticism about any model posted here, but in this case I feel all could benefit from an exception.

This model looks like a perfect example of great textures making a mediocre mesh look outstanding.

I'm very impressed.
