I know this may be too early for you, but my brain has been working overtime on lots of stuff, so I'd thought I'd spill a little of it on you:

I was thinking that when you got to doing your Mirror Universe ships you could give them mythical animal names like I.S.S. Tiamat, I.S.S. Chimera, I.S.S. Hydra, etc.

Just an idea from a off'kilter brain...

Might not be a bad idea for the later era ships, After Spock took over I doubt he would have followed current empire trends.
