Crash while running the multi-era SFC EAW mod.
« on: October 18, 2003, 12:42:36 pm »
To anyone who has this same problem, help would be appreciated.

After using the multi-era batch file and running the program, I go into the single player campaign and move to a different sector and take on a mission. After about 2 minutes I get an error message that causes a Win32 crash and I get kicked out of the game.

Any help would be appreciated.

Apologies for the crash.

I didn't fully research the impact of the new shiplists on the campaigns.

I designed that mod as a singleplayer vs. AI/multiplayer fun mod, to give a wide variety of ships.

Chris,
Did you make any changes to the model structure when you made the most recent upload to SFC3files?  I have not had a chance to test that version.  I did edit the previous version's shiplist to root out all of the model references that were causing hard crashes.  I have been playing my modified multi-era shiplist for months now as my standard daily game, and there have been very few problems.  I would be happy to send my shiplist to any who need it, but I wanted to be sure that it would be compatible with the SFC3files version.

I don't think so..  I didn't upload that - it was done over the summer during my hiatus from SFC.

Since I am back on SFC3 Files, could you send me your update that works well, and I'll get it up on SFC3 Files, and on my web site, so we are all on the same page.

Thanks for doing the fixes, I got busy with OP and SFC3 and kinda let the EAW Multi sit there.

Yes I did and thanks..

I have it online on my site..

SFC3 Files and entire Files Network is going through a re-build, so I can't add it there yet.

I'll be adapting this shiplist to OP for a possible Multi-era there as well. See the Models forum.

Thanks for mailing that - and for the kind words -  I had lost it along the way.
