Concerning CoreEdit
« on: October 14, 2003, 11:22:20 pm »
Hi, all!

.... Here's an update on the progress of CoreEdit.  Since mid-August I have been too busy to put in much time on developing this program and I will not likely be able to work on it before Christmas break.  Therefore I have decided to release a demo version of CoreEdit which is capable of editing DefaultCore files (the DefaultLoadOut portion is still incomplete and is disabled in the demo).  To get the demo, head to my web page and click on any of the three CoreEdit links there.

Webmasters:  Feel free to post the demo on your sites.

If you have any comments, questions, or concerns, feel free to email me at awm.3@shaw.ca

Three cheers for awm3!

Great program, but just to let you know, MSVCRTD.DLL was missing, a quick search of my computer and I found it, copied it to the directory and presto. Keep up the great work.

I have updated the installer to include the appropriate DLL.  If you have already installed the program you can try seaching for MSVCRTD.DLL on your computer and copying it into the folder in which you installed CoreEdit.  Please let me know if you encounter any more problems.

MSVCRTD.DLL is the debug version of MSVCRT.DLL. You shouldn't have to have that DLL. If you compile the program in release mode, it should link to the retail libraries (which everyone has) and not  the debug libraries (which comes with VC++, so almost none have). Compiling in debug mode will link the program to the debug DLL.
