You might want to set the explosion value for the tanker really high, like 100 or so......hmmm that should be interesting when it shows up in a convoy mission. Start year is 13, so the year 2276. The saucer phasers are arranged like on the Endeavor, and you can put photon torpedoes on it at hp 1 or 2, but probably not both (I put just a single launcher there on the B-C deck structure).

The Ptolemy is also up.

Cool!

I like! I like!

Now that you've released all of last year's stuff, what's on your agenda?

There were some rommies that were included in the d2 mod that Atra and P81 collaborated on. A number of FASA ships were part of it: Stormbird, Whitewind, Winged Defender etc. Some really nice work.

Thanks for the info.

I think I have a few of them already. Did he happen to collaborate on the King Condor from the D2 mod?

I had been hoping for an updated model of this kind. There was a real need for a tug that looked a little more modern than the Ptolomy. Thanks Atrahasis, this will go into my model library immediately.

Any one who knows about the following variants, would it be possible to share the SSD info for them if you have them? All I was able to hunt down were the start years.

Start years for variants:<p>
Mobile Base Pod: -13 (2250)***Ptolemy***
Battle Pod: -8 (2255) ***Ptolemy***
Carrier Pod: 14 (2277) ***Keppler***
Heavy Carrier Pod: 19 (2282) ***Keppler***
Light Battle Pod: 21 (2284) ***Keppler***

The class designiation is my own hypothesizing, of course.

I sent you a copy of an SSD for the heavy carrier and SCS tug pods... Or were you thinking of listing the specifications for these pods on this thread? I would be happy to post what I can find perhaps tomorrow.

Thanks Rogue! The ones you sent me are unofficial ones though, although they're are quite interesting. I'll put up their stats at my site sometime though. What we really need are the official stats for the items listed above, as a starting point.

You are correct of course. What we will need is someone who has a copy of the rules to list the pod specs for the Federation. I googled around a bit for the info but I  imagine ABD would frown on posting much in the way of official SSD's. You can find them on occasion but they tend to disappear after a short time. Wished I could be of more assistance in this.

PS. For those of you who like to play tugs I recommend trying an acceleration of 5 to see how you like it. I really like the lethargic way it makes the heavy tugs play. Perhaps 7 or 8 might be better but I am not sure if the game accepts values other than 0,5,10 and 15.

Magnificent render!

You are quite the artist, even aside from your 3D models.  Can you animate this one like you did with some of the TOS thumbnail sized pix like you used to?  It'd be great to see how the Klingon got the scratch on his belly.  Not to sound TOO demanding, but can you "retrofit" shield impact glows on this?  Again, what a super picture.

LOL yeah that's a SFB assumption and it's in quite a lot of their pics.

Nice interpretation of the R10 cover, Atra.

I don't suppose you've seen the cover of J2?  Now THAT's what a CVS should look like (well, technically it's a CVB, the Houston -the CVB carried a different fighter than the CVS).  I'd post a pic, but they don't have a shot of the cover at ADB's site (most of the other modules have a pic) and I don't own a scanner.

I am enjoying your "rebirth" quite a lot, thanks for bringing us your art.

btw, nice Keppler.

Hey Atra,
See! Another "Houston" fan. Have I been hallucinating, or something? I swear that I sent you the cover shot of R2, with the "mega"-A10 fighter in the foreground?

Yeah you did, I'm meaning to do the Houston soon. You can never have enough Heavy Cruiser-Carriers.

A little more information on the "missing" d2 models:

The d2 mod was an Apoc Entertainment project that was mostly (to my knowledge) p81 and Atra's work although I do know there were others involved; Cleeve was one, I'm not certain of the rest. Most of the Starfleet and Klingon ships are still available (I haven't seen the two HUGE Klingon battleships anywhere for a while though); it's the Romulan ships that seem to be the M.I.A.s. There were a lot of FASA Rommies in this lot and most of them were available as individual d/l's at one time: Z1-Nova, V30-Winged Defender, V7-Whitewind, V11-Stormbird, V6-Gallant Wing, T10-Bright One and T2-Death Talon. They had also put together a Romulanized version of the Klingon L24 and an immense Romulan battleship that was proposed as a TMP version of the Warbird.

It's too bad that a lot of this stuff has dissappeared as the newer members of this forum may not have seen them. I'd imagine there may be permission issues to resolve before they could be made available should someone take on the task. If anyone knows where some of these are hosted please let me know.

If it's that scarce I should host it at my site soon.
