The quickest way to ensure that the file transferred correctly is to download the Taldren ModViewer (you can get it at my site now that it's now up again), and run it (or Associate .MOD with Modviewer.exe [you'll have to disbale the .MOD extension in WinAMP or another music program if you have one]). Then navigate to the directory with the Bass Master and click on the Bassmaster.mod file. It'll then load up the .MOD and show you the ship with the textures on in a 3D view that you can zoom in and out of, and rotate in X,Y,and Z axises.
But to add it into your game, the easiest way is to download Shipedit v3 (you can also get that on my site) and then add the OP beta addition for it. (You're running OP, right?) Once it's all running, you can then browse to the directory that has the Bassmaster in it once you selected (or created) the X-CLC slot. And that'd get it all in there easily.
