I just took a performance hit myself. I've been waiting since May for my parents to leave town so I could swap their ancient 350mhz Pentium II machine for a more modern Athlon XP2400+. That reduces my output from ~45 to ~37 WU's/day. Down to 3 machines.

The friend that I "indefinitely" loaned a computer to a while back has returned it temporarily. He has been having some troubles with it that I can and will fix (bad or disconnected CPU fan) and won't be able to use it for a while so it goes back on my SETI until he can use it. It should do 6-7 WUs and restore most of the lost output from giving my mother the XP 2400+.

I was still gaining on Dragon even with the reduced output, this will increase the rate of closure, not that I expect to catch him before SETI 1 ends.

The increase will likely be next weekend.

I havent really kept up w/ this thread...since a undetermined amount of time. I just keep crunching WU. I checked my stat on classic and was much surprised to find me sitting at 19. I guess numbers shifted on the move to boinc. Our collective WU total is still respectable though.

Today I moved up to the # 13 spot as I quickly overtake #12. I hope to make it to 10,000 before it ends. After I reach 10,000, I hope to totally move to BOINC with the rest of my machines. I hope the rest of you who still visit here will make the switch when classic ends in a few weeks or months.

Yep. I still watch it. I keep a window open on our SETI stats at all times. I am slowly moving up on Dragon. I doubt that I can catch him before the end but I keep going.
