Oki Doki Ald I'll remmber all that hey I'm a newby and ignorance is blissssssss....no gripes on the experience thing on mismatched parties.  Seems sensible.

Actually I never needed the picklock thing even in single player...I just destroyed locked chests with traps with lightening are used a boc/crossbow.  Now if I were designing a game I might try to cheapen the loot if the chests were opned that way...lets say due to destruction...but I never noticed that happening.  Sometimes it backfires like when I wipe out a safe but the lightening seems to spread and takes out a door that sets loose a particularily lethal badboy/girl that I wasn't ready for.   I guess another way would be to script in a ward (if this is possible) that would summon something nasty or reflect damage back at PCs that try to open chests or doors by destroying them.

Now traps by themselves are definitely torublesome which makes the detecting skill and the dismantling skill valuable no matter how you shake it.

Actually you just mentioned most of what does happen in 3T (brekaing things if you smash chests and have things spawn )

thanks Guys, Keep them coming. right now, I'm just adding in the characters, and won't start much as far a mapping until HoTu comes out. That way, I might borrow from It.

HoTu should be out in stores on 12/03.  I can't wait.  Level 40 characters.

Hi guys, I know I've been scarce lately, and I bet some of you don't even know who I am(oh the horror.)

Anyway, if you have NWN and have fond memories of PnP sessions, you HAVE to try out the Persistant Worlds that are available online.

www.avlis.org

The World of Avlis is perhaps the single most addicting gaming experience I've had in years, and I've found myself spending 7-8 hours a day on here...(Hence no time for the forums I guess)

Try it out, and no we have ZERO "phat lewt" searching powergamers.

Be sure to say hi to a very very old SFC community vet Vanor when you see him DMing.

Feel free to use me, if you're still adding folks.  I usually play half-elves, and usually Rangers or Rogues, but in an effort to be different, may I suggest a Neutral Good Half-Orc Druid.

Awesome idea La'ra...

thank you for inviting me, Sirgod.... as for my, I was running  a CG female half-elf Monk/Rogue (actually, for the Hordes of Undrentide, I had her a pretty high-up Shadowdancer also).... boy, she can move! Those monks get movement bonuses after 4th level I think, so at a 13th lvl with Boots of Speed for luaghs, she hauls a little butt here and there, lol.

I hope that I am able to acquire me one of those new-fangled Underdark games too- trouble with modding NWN is that once a certain mod gets downloaded so many times from their server, they decide to put that mod into the next game! Now, the new game is going ot have visible cloaks, a more interactive camera, and bloody nicer skies! Drat, I had just learned how to put those in!

If there are any needs for modding help, let me know... I stink, but maybe I might have a hint you didn't....

do it Toasty- do it! I dare you!

Heck, mine isn't installed yet either...

TalonClaw, I don't get it, whats so funny about Hordes of Undrentide? I want to laugh also...
the funniest part of that game was betraying the dragon by using that belt against him.... polymorphing into a frost giant and beating the crap out of him!

Right now, i'm playing on the Three Towns server. I'm currently Ftr5/Rng1, and i'll try to do Ftr8/Wiz1/Rng1/Arc10.

This way i'll get four extra feats, plus a familair (pixie), plus dual-weapon fighting feats for close range combat + favored enemy (human) + archer prestige class.

I'm focusing on being an archer, so this should be a nice built.

My character is named Aenigma the Thrice-Doomed, an elf who lost his family, home and mind.

Sorry to tell you this but you are limited to 3 classes for multi-class characters. If you plan on going Arcane Archer you aren't doing it with this character. BTW lvl 10 AA is useless in 3T. By the time you get death arrow (DC 20 to fort save) most creatures you'll be fighting can save against 80% of the time. Use the extra level for something else.

Now this may all change with HoUD.

Now, why can't i multiclass more than three times?

I guess i'll have to restart my character then

Heck, its too bad you can't multi-class more than three times? We could make a Jack or Jane of All Trades... guess there's a reason for everything...

Well yeah.  If you have a totally uber character then what's the point?  D&D is centered around having a party where each member makes the group stronger as a whole.

Well, generally, being a jack of all trades doesn't make you über, just someone who can do a bit of everything.
