Can't reinstall....
« on: October 13, 2003, 05:15:02 pm »
Hello,

For some reason SFC 3 is not loading, so I want to unistall it and reinstall it.

I went to Add/Remove Programs - and it said it could not remove it because something was missing.

So I put the CD in and was going to reinstall in another directory - but there is not install option.  There is Play and Uninstall.  I tried Uninstall - nothing - the windows just disappears.

I have to erase the whole game somehow, then try reinstalling.

But what files do I remove?  I deleted the Activision directory.  Still same problem.

Any idea how to get this game reinstalled?

Thanks,

Z

It sounds like you still need ot removeIt from the Registry using Regedit.

Are you familiar with Regedit, It's pretty easy to use, But one mistake , and you can through your whole system out of wack.

i'll try and get the exact locations, etc, for you in awhile.

Also, Try restarting your machine. Sometimes that will clear everything also, and allow you to install. Also, Try installing from the CD Directory ie. D:/SFC/install.exe or whatever the actual path is.
