When the ISA gave Earth Alliance Grav-tech to implement on their ships, they also gave EarthForce an incomplete White Star Gunship to experiment with and get acclimated to maintaining a new type of technology over an extended period of time. The White Star was delivered minus the Vorlon Tech and weapons systems. The renamed Ares class was completed with one MLC, 4 MPC, one Class-S Rack, and 2 Mk II interceptors. It also carried an AEGIS pod to add to its already potent close-in fighting ability.
