I hope my comments were not insulting.LD I have downloaded many of your ships from your old site and used them in my games. It is great to have you back to giving us models. However before I commented I should have given the ship a whirl in my game first and then said something. So I apologise if I offended you and that I for one would love to get my hands on the model.

Lord Delekhan,

I want you to know that I wasn't trying to insult you or berate your work in any way. I was also not trying to sound 'better than you'.

You glance at the few, very very few shots you could possibly have seen of a design you have less then nothing to do with and actually believe that you then have the authority to interject your masterful insight. No that could not possibly be interpreted as your position to do so is one of being better then all about you.

I should have mentioned that I felt there were good things about the model as well, for not doing so originally I apologize.  I was just honestly trying to offer suggestions to make the model better than it was in my opinion. That's all.

So you think that your opinion more credible, more viable, of such significant value that it must be interjected over and above the opinion of the designer.

Quote:

I wouldnt offer such advice if I didn't feel there wasn't potential in it. So I apologize if I came off as condescending in any way. I was honestly just trying to help.

Potential? Even your feeble attempt at an apology is riddled with your own arrogance and self-righteous indignation. It is even more condescending then your self-important demigodish interjection of an opinion that you have not the technical, moral, or any other high ground to offer up in the first place.

Wow, do you always get this way when someone offers you a suggestion about something? Geez.

"You glance at the few, very very few shots you could possibly have seen of a design you have less then nothing to do with and actually believe that you then have the authority to interject your masterful insight. No that could not possibly be interpreted as your position to do so is one of being better then all about you."

Ok, well I'm sorry you feel that way.

"So you think that your opinion more credible, more viable, of such significant value that it must be interjected over and above the opinion of the designer."

So, what, we're not allowed to have opinions, or we're just not allowed to ever express them?

"Potential? Even your feeble attempt at an apology is riddled with your own arrogance and self-righteous indignation. It is even more condescending then your self-important demigodish interjection of an opinion that you have not the technical, moral, or any other high ground to offer up in the first place."

Wow. Something tells me you are taking this WAY too personally. I have news for you, buddy:
"Starfleet Command Models
A forum for 3D model announcements, ADVICE and mayhem."
That is the description for this forum. I was offering ADVICE which is a specifically mentioned official function of this forum. I didn't do anything wrong and if you think I did then I believe you're being unreasonable. If this is how you always react when someone tries to be helpful then perhaps you should reconsider the way you behave. I sincerely hope you can see the logic in what I'm saying.

Well this sucks.

Perhaps the most prolific ROMULAN ship builders has left us?

I REALLY hope not.

We should be able to move past the Firehawk LD made. Anybody look at his Novahawk? If that was a shadow of things to come I say let him crank out more! His King Condor would have been incredible.....

Let him go. There will be others.

His childish behavior shouldn't be tolerated anyway.

Well said. He's too high maintinece, got better things to do than suckup to a guy who feels the people here are unworthy of giving an opinion of his work, as stated above.

You want some nice romulans, look around on newships. Bunch of'em there. Some need lightmaps.

It's possible that LD is a little touchy about his work,  but IMO we should also consider that folks could use a little bit of tact in their criticisms.  "CONSTRUCTIVE" criticism should always be positive in tone and point out the good points of a mod as well as the posters "OPINION" about possible changes.  Remember that the modellor is the only one who has any real say in what a finished work looks like.  If you don't like that finished product then breeze on by and don't download it.  Simple.  I think it's pretty fair to say that if you can't post something positive then maybe you shouldn't.

Was I not tactful? I didn't tell him his model sucked, I told him I thought it was a good start. I also told him what I thought was constructive critism, that it wasn't detailed enough. I agree with you on this point, however I don't think that should it should be an excuse or justification for his behavior. If someone were to critique one of my models, I would listen with an open mind, and thank the person. I wouldn't accuse them of being arrogant and self-righteous then shut down my website forever. I don't even know why he did that last part. Maybe he's just starved for attention.

Desty Nova - I certainly didn't mean to imply that you were being rude in your posts and I should have made that plain in my last post. Sorry.  With James Formo walking away and LD closing up shop,  I was just trying to make a general comment about the forum that unfortunately appeared aimed at you.  That was honestly not my intention.

That's ok, I'm not as touchy as some. Don't worry about it.
