For either of them really, but the one im interested at the moment is EAW. Will SFC2 handle a ship built without phasers? I was considering messing with the K-E3Y, removing the phaser-2s and replacing them with Dizzie-1s. Will that work? or will SFC have a crap fit and crash? And yes I know that the Dizzies dont completely replace the phasers, but the cloak handles missiles, and 2 phaser-2s arent going to do a damn thing to an incoming plasma torpedo.

Naw, go right ahead. SFC2 will have no problems with a ship with no Phasers. But let me remind you that you are going to be a sitting duck to Missiles, fighters, and plasma with no phasers for defense. Also, Disruptors take more power to arm then most phasers so a E3 will probably have less overall firepower then with Phasers. And another thing, Dirsuptors are hit or miss weapons while Phasers are direct fire weapons, but have the benifit of partial damage. That is why Phasers are so widely used in the SFB universe, because they are the best overall weapon in the game. Good for Offense, defense, and Point Defense with the added benefit of partial damage effect.
